Piet Janssen (°1970, Genk) has been a member at the Limburg Bar since 1994. He specializes in liability and insurance law, as well as real estate and property law.

He obtained his law degree with distinction from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in 1993. He subsequently earned a special licence in social law, also with distinction, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles in 1994.

In 2024, he completed the postgraduate programme in liability law and insurance law at the University of Antwerp. Due to his specialization in liability and insurance law, which also includes personal injury and medical liability, he regularly participates in further legal courses. He also assists clients before the police court, both in criminal defense matters and in cases involving personal injury.

Because of his interest in real estate, he also handles files concerning immovable property (purchase/sale/rental), drawing on his expertise in private construction law, real estate and property law, contract law, liability law and insurance law.

He is also well-versed in family law and inheritance law.

Since 2019, he has been a law lecturer at Syntra Limburg, where he teaches tenancy law within the real estate broker programme.
