Dieter Torfs

In 2020, Dieter Torfs (1987, Tongeren) joined the team of Adlex advocaten & bemiddelaars as an associate lawyer. He mainly focuses on medical law and construction law.

He obtained his Master’s degree in Law at the Catholic University of Leuven in 2011, where he specialised in Civil Law and Commercial-Economic Law. He wrote his master’s thesis on parentage after medically assisted reproduction. Following his keen interest in healthcare in the broad sense, he also obtained an additional master’s degree in organisation and policy of healthcare from the Catholic University of Leuven in 2012, with a master’s thesis on the accreditation of hospitals. After graduation, he started his career with the Leuven Bar association at an office specialising in medical and health law.

He then moved on to the Limburg Bar where he was able to specialise in liability law and administrative law. During this period, he successfully completed the ‘Continuing Education Certificate in Human Damage Assessment’ at the Catholic University of Leuven.
